WokeMill celebrated the last Valentine with the launching of the new WokeMill Lovers’ show where Nse and Famo talked about a lot of lovey-dovey stuff while giving our listeners great music at intervals.
After a lot of anticipation from the listeners through their reviews, the second edition of the show aired on Saturday night with Famo and Nse hosting the show; Kayballz who would seem to be no expert in matters of the heart had to sit this one out.
The show commenced with the hosts talking about the activities that they had for this edition which included picking random numbers and asking each other ( possible first date ) questions that are attached to those number and giving tips that could make relationships better for people who are in one and tips that could make that relationship work when you finally make it to the top on your crush’s to-do-list.
The hosts started by giving what might be considered the most important tip that could apply to all relationships which is that the two parties involved should nurture friendship as this would enable them to know and understand each other better if and when a more intimate relationship ensues.
During the possible date questions and answers session, Nse was asked to share her most embarrassing moment and it was when her Mum just was trying to be an African mom just like any other African mother by yelling at her in public. Famo also shared an interesting fact about himself during this session where he stated that he is one of those people that eat a lot but his body has nothing to show for it.
Mutual Respect for individual boundaries was also cited as one of the key tips that could make relationships last longer, partners should learn to understand and respect each other’s boundaries, you should know when to respect your partner’s personal space and understand when they need it, don’t because of love allow your Egungun to be crossing the other person’s express just anyhow.
Being in a relationship is also not an excuse to cut off all your other friends, it is possible to maintain a healthy relationship and still keep your friends around you.
Nse was asked by her co-host during the session to name a skill she would like to learn and after considering her years of experience and good relationship with Snapchat memories and Instagram stories, she named photography as the one skill she would love to acquire. Famo also named some of his family members as the special people in his life, for someone we still think is single, it was not surprising.
On finances and relationships, the hosts shared their perspectives on the dynamics of spending money in relationships, Nse believes that if both parties have the money, they can spoil each other and also, that partners can have a joint account for keeping money they plan to spend together, Famo stated the latter idea will likely end in premium tears except it’s in a marriage.
The show wrapped up with the hosts talking about how to handle the heat and friction that comes with relationships, how to not mess things up when moments of misunderstandings and arguments surfaces. During these times, partners are should understand that “Communication is key” and this would go a long way in resolving conflicts and that some of the time some compromises would have to be made in order to sustain the relationship.
