Get your Fantasy team right week in week out.

The Fantasy Premier League or FPL as it is most commonly known, is a game in which the participants assemble an imaginary team, based on real life Soccer players in the English Premier League. The main aim is to win points, win as many points as possible, win as much as you can. These points are gotten from the players’ actual statistical performance or their perceived contribution on the field of play.  It sounds simple, fun and playful, but, in its real domain, it isn’t all fun and games. On a bad day it is heart wrenching, shaming and confusing. As per the decision making thoughts and tinkering participants have to undergo. Yes, it is a part of the game, but painful all the same.

The Participants are given a budget of a 100 million and asked to select 15 players initially within that price budget. There’s usually a restriction on the number of players per club (at most 3 players per club); typical selection would be to select 2 Goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 Forwards. After this, select your starting 11 before each Game week deadline.
No, I’m not here to give the beginners guide to the FPL. Come on. You can learn that yourself online. These here are a few tips and advices to my fellow FPL players. If you have money in whatever FPL you’re in. This article right here is not for you. Lol.

Number 1: don’t stress yourself.
Deal in reality and realize that it’s all a game. I’ll type it again. Don’t stress yourself. Yes, you want to win but not at the cost of your health, be it mental or physical. I’ll even add spiritual health.😎. Relax and go with the flow. The FPL is a vibe.

Number 2: information is key
Don’t just rush to buy a player. Don’t even rush to do anything. In the days before the match week. Get all the information you need on the players you have and the ones you want to buy. Some players get injured on the last day before a match. It will be a waste of free transfers and transfer points (though there is nothing you can do when a player gets injured minutes before a match). Also, the time of the match actually affects how your players and their teams will play(due to not enough rest and sunlight. Studies also show that recently there is more lack of concentration in afternoon matches compared to matches played from 5pm into the night especially now with no fans around). The formation of the team also affects who scores. Gain information on Identifying the gameplay patterns and you will never lack in getting points.
For example, Jack Grealish is mostly involved in the attacking gameplay for Aston Villa. Having him gets you nothing less than 3points and above per match.

Number 3 play mind games
Don’t be shy to trick the competition. You’re in the same league with someone ?. Play mind games. It’s cunning and a little dirty, but do it(I’m a bad influence😅). Especially with the players directly above and below you. Be unpredictable. That way, you can over take and also keep players far from you as you go up the table. I won’t give further advice on this. Think for yourself. It is your league.

Number 4: don’t be a Club fan-blind "idgit"
Don’t be one-sided in respect to the club you support. Never. It’s all about getting the most points. Because you’re a Chelsea fan doesn’t mean you should be captaining one Chelsea player throughout the season especially if he isn’t giving you captain-worthy points. Don’t be fan-blind. Get the players who give the highest points even if they’re in your rival club. Let me give a real life example. So a friend of mine is an Arsenal fan and has had Aubameyang captained since the start of the season. Harry Kane has given far more points but he won’t buy him because he is a London club rival. 😬😬.

Number 5: wait till the last minute. Don’t rush.
When it comes to transfers. After assessing all you need and you know what you want for your game week. Wait. Yes, wait. The Transfers and picking of team players stops one hour before the game week begins. The one hour before that one hour🙃😉 is when you begin setting all you need for the game week.

Number 6: Chin up and live with the decisions you make
At the end of the day. Yes, decision making is essential but always be at peace with what you set. Never let there be doubt in what you set. Be prepared to live with the consequences that come from the decision you made for that game week. Another week will come when you will make better decisions. Having that mindset helps a lot.
All this so far should improve your point gaining on FPL. Given that the other players in your league or head to head don’t know this.😄

Just trying to help,
